Most spindle whorls we come accross are plain or just bear a hint of crude decoration.

This one found recently by Sandy is exceptionally well decorated and justly deserved the top points it received at our December 2010 meeting.

This Bronze Age looped palstave axe was found in Fife by Sandy Lyon.

The axe, which was featured in the Jan/Feb 2004 issue of ‘History Scotland’ has been claimed as Treasure Trove.
