the scottish detector club

Our club is based in Edinburgh but we have members all over Scotland, so those who can’t attend our meetings can keep in touch through our quarterly magazine “The Turner”

As the majority of our members reside on the east coast most of our regular outings are in the Fife or the Lothian & Borders regions with occasional weekend excursions to rallies in England.

During the summer months when detectable land is at a premium our members have the opportunity to involve themselves with related activities.  To promote the hobby to the general public and to the farming community we hold displays and demonstrations of metal detecting at agricultural shows and other events.

Club membership also gives automatic membership of the National Council for Metal Detecting (NCMD) which includes public liability insurance.
